Fix Audio with Only One Channel
If you are experiencing problems with audio only recording to one channel, then you probably only hear the audio coming out of one speaker. If you have headphones or earbuds on, the audio can only be heard in one ear. Why is this?
Some microphones are Mono and they only record in one channel. For example the Mic J-044 only records on the Left side or the left channel. Luckily, there's a quick and simple solution to this. If you are a FCPX user, you will find this tutorial very helpful. However, you can take the concept from this video and apply it to other video editing programs.
The reason why audio only records to one channel is because you are probably using a mono mic that goes into a stereo recorder. To fix this, we covert the audio file to Dual Mono.
