PULP FICTION
A HIP HOP NARRATIVE TALE OF PULP FICTION
Artist KoolQuise (pronounced cool-keese)
here to tell you the epic tale of Pulp Fiction. For
those that don't know, Pulp Fiction is a movie
written and directed by Quentin Tarantino,
but would also happen to be a hip hop genre
song title.
I pride myself on being somewhat of a movie buff and figured it would be fun to rap about scenes, from my favorite movies, directed by some of my favorite directors, told from the
perspective of certain characters
The song itself dictates a vividly painted picture of
the famed apartment scene, told from the
perspective of character Jules Winnfield played by
actor Samuel L. Jackson. During the creation of
the song I had heard about the new script Quentin
Tarantino was working on, that had since been
trashed due to it being leaked, titled Hateful Eight.
After hearing about this movie gold I began doing
research on the script and movie only to find out
that Samuel L. Jackson would be playing
character Major Marquis Warren.
MORE THAN A COINCIDENCE
Finding out this information I freaked because
Marquis Warren is my actual god given,
government name laugh out loud, so I contacted good friend of mine Jersean Golatt via FaceBook and figured I’d ask him if he
was up for the challenge. After hearing the track
he was more than happy to, so we got together
and began brain storming, quickly shot up to his
studio and shot the pulp fiction video.
