The Galton Board, developed by Sir Francis Galton, is an experimental device that demonstrates the normal (Gaussian) distribution. Also known as the "bean machine" or "quincunx," it features a rectangular board with nails and vertical drops. As beads are dropped from the top, they bounce off the nails and settle into compartments at the bottom. Despite the randomness of the bead falls, their distribution forms a bell curve after numerous trials. The Galton Board is used to teach and visualize concepts related to probability, statistics, and random processes.
