StarWind maintenance mode – a way to avert post-servicing performance drops
“Maintenance” mode is a StarWind Virtual SAN feature that eliminates the post-servicing downtimes. If a user sets the servers in the “maintenance” mode before their planned shutdowns, they do not require synchronization resumption once a system starts running again. What is more, the feature allows preventing drops in systems’ performance and high-availability because both nodes are capable of operating right away they are switched on.
