I will walk you through the correct way to install the browser so you don't run it from the disk image (DMG) by mistake. I also explain how to choose the right version for your specific processor (Apple Silicon M-Chip vs. Intel).

Steps to Install Chrome on Mac:

Open your Launchpad and click Chrome.
