Week 47 update: 17 weeks on 15mg, and it isn’t going well!
THIS WEEK: I’ve been 17 weeks on 15mg, so my usual updates! The weight loss on 15 mg has slowed, in fact I'm putting on some weight. I'd love to have the opportunity to keep on it for longer so that I can turn that around and start seeing the weight decrease again. Only two Mounjaro pens left!
I have no underlying conditions. I am not Type 2 Diabetic. Nor am I pre-diabetic. My A1C is perfect. I have no previous experience of taking weight-loss medication. I am sharing my journey with an update on side effects, weight loss, appetite. Mounjaro is manufactured by Eli Lilly. It is FDA approved for T2D, but not yet solely for weightloss in non diabetics. It is a weekly injection which is GLP-1 and GIP medication. It is prescription only and, if eligible, can be obtained for $25 a month with manufacturer’s coupon.
I am not a medical practitioner so I cannot advise, I can only share my experience of this new medication.
