To hide a photo on iPhone simply find the photo you wish to hide, long press on it and tap hide from the menu. The photo will be moved to the Hidden Album folder, which you’ll find under utilities, in the Album tab. If you’re on an iPad you’ll find the folder in the sidebar menu. Simply long press again to unhide the photo and move it back to its original album. It’s worth mentioning that as of iOS16, you can’t hide an entire album; there isn’t an option to do that. This might change when iOS17 comes out next month but for now you have to select all your photos in the album, tap more and choose hide. You’ll notice the album will remain but will no longer contain any photos. You can unhide them in the same way as you would a single photo. If you want to get super tricky, you can head over settings, tap on photos and disable this option to show the hidden photos album. Now when I hide a photo there is absolutely no way of seeing it until I go back into settings and re-enable the option to show the hidden folder. It’s a similar story on Mac, control click on your photo and choose Hide photo or pressing CMD and L on keyboard, which do the same thing. As with iPhone there’s no way to hide an album so you’ll need to select all and hide. If you don't see the hidden album option in the menu bar, click on View in the menu and choose Show Hidden Album. Then you can use Touch ID or enter your password to see your hidden photos. If you save your photos to iCloud, hiding a photo on one device will hide it across all of your devices.
