Turn Your Android Phone Into a Full Linux PC (No Root Needed)

I installed a lightweight Linux distribution on my Android phone using DroidDex, and it completely changes what your phone can do. No root, no bootloader unlocking, no Termux required. This setup runs with full GPU acceleration, so you can use it just like a real Linux desktop, complete with AI agents, VS Code, LibreOffice, and even Blender for 3D graphics.

If your phone supports display output, you can connect it to a monitor and get a Samsung DeX style experience. And even if it does not, tools like Scrcpy or Android Dex let you get the same desktop feel on almost any device.
In this video, I walk through the entire installation process step by step, including how to fix common crashes using the Developer Options setting.
