Submersible Motor Auto Manual Connection Practical | Water Pump | Electrical Tech Fayyaz
In this video we show how to automate your submersible motor auto manual connection with a float switch. A float switch senses the liquid level in the water tank.
A float switch closes its contact terminals when the water level falls. When the float switch closes its terminals, power goes to the contactor to energize the coil that starts the contactor.
A timer is connected to the output terminals of the contactor. When the contactor closes its terminals. Starts a contactor delay timer for 3 seconds. During these 3 seconds an EMF is injected to start the motor and correct the power factor.
If we do not use start capacitor in single phase motors. Motors draw high amperage which causes heat on wires and motor, we use start capacitor to avoid these heating problems and power factor correction. Start capacitor connected in series with running capacitor.
Automatic and manual can be selected through the selector switch. Because the auto mode works according to the water level. And manual mode has to do it manually, manual mode does not sense the water level in the water tank. Turn the float switch on and off in auto mode to maintain the water level in the upper tank.
we used
a volt meter to measure voltage.An ammeter is used to monitor the amperage load drawn by the motor.
Auto manual switch means selecting the desired mode like auto or manual to start the motor as required.
We used a breaker to switch off the line for repair and maintenance purpose.
Start push button to start the motor through manual mode and Stop push button to stop the motor in manual mode.
Contactor is the main part of starter which works in manual and auto modes.
The off-delay timer is only used to inject the capacitor for 3 seconds, only after that it stops the timer.
We used a float switch to detect the water level in the upper tank corresponding to the water level, which automatically operated the motor.
The motor turns on when the float switch is down. If the float switch goes up, the motor is turned off by the float switch.
A starting capacitor is only used to start the motor and the running capacitor runs until the motor stops.
