Ahead are the breathtaking Kilimanjaro sunrise at 5 500 meters above the sea level, reaching the famous landmark, the Gilman's Point, located on the edge of the crater, the fantastic Arrow glacier and, finally, summiting the Uhuru peak, 5 895 high, top of Mount Kilimanjaro and Africa's highest point!
ABOUT THE SERIES:
The five-man strong 'dream team', with Sergey Vertelov, Russian Himalayan club president, as team leader, has successfully climbed the Uhuru peak (5895 meters above the sea level). This is, of course, Kilimanjaro, one of the legendary ‘Seven Summits’, Africa’s highest point and world's highest free-standing mountain! For each team member it was the first climb here. Except for Sergey Vertelov, who celebrated his 49th birthday climbing the Big Mountain for the twelfth time…
