1. Yanfei is a lesser pyro version of C6 Ningguang in a nutshell
Yanfei’s kit really resembles ningguang’s. Each time her normal attack hits the enemies, she will stack a Scarlet Seal up to 3 times, all of which will be released when she uses her Charged Attack, just like Ningguang. Each time she uses her E or Ult, she’ll directly have full stack of Seals, a bit better than Ningguang. Although her kit wanted her to be a main DPS, she can be a sub DPS just as fine, once again, just like Ningguang. So, Yanfei is just the pyro version of C6 Ningguang with lots of discount
2. Yanfei Main DPS potential is really bad
Yanfei attacks pretty fast and her base stat is also high, but her hit modifier says otherwise. To put it into perspective, here’s Yanfei’s DPS modifier, here’s Chongyun’s, here’s Kaeya and Bennet’s and here are the others DPS Modifier. With that being said, Yanfei’s DPS potential is comparable to that of Lisa and Qiqi, yeah….. Qiqi….
3. Her Sub DPS potential is alright
Although her kit is better for main DPS roles, with the same combo as Ningguang, Q then Charge, plus E then Charge, Yanfei’s sub dps potential is not bad, although it’s not good either. Her sub DPS potential with just E and Q is comparable to Xinyan and Sucrose.
4. Yanfei constellation is also not that good
Here’s Yanfei’s DPS increase with each constellation. Some of her constellation doesn’t give enough impact for her dps and some are straight up bad.
