The birth of Simplified Scrum as extended 2020 Scrum Guide review
I promised to provide an extended review of the 2020 Scrum Guides update and here it is! As there are so many good things in the update related to Scrum its core principle of empiricism we wanted to still be very thankful and respectful to all and not only highlight the things we dislike in the update. After trying out many formats it still all felt wrong, so I decided to create an alternative definition of Scrum: Simplified Scrum. That is more aligned to how I have been implementing Scrum in many organizations around the world.
The birth of Simplified Scrum is a fact, it elevates the great stuff in the 2020 Scrum Guides and brings back Team as I have always been very attached to, see previous videos related to Team and Team Effectiveness. I truly mean Development Team concept and not the Scrum Team concept. And that for the same reason as the 2020 Scrum Guides removed Development Team!
