Powdery trees is some of the most fun snowboarding that can be had, and there are some snowboard features that can enhance the experience for you. Today Chris and I are on the Jones Storm Chaser and Kevin is on the Lib Tech Orca. In trees, and especially powdery trees, having a directional board is the way to go. A directional snowboard will offer the float you need in the powder as well as help you maneuver through the trees more easily thanks to the shortened tail. I also enjoy rocker dominant camber profiles for this type of riding to get a more "loose" feel on the snow to help maneuver, as well as offer better float. For days like today, I think a true directional powder board with a very short tail is the best option, we all agreed that the short tail played the most critical role in helping us have fun out there. Let me know what you think down in the comments, thanks for watching.
