In this Python tutorial, we will learn: List operations in Python. List Concatenation, List Repetition, List Membership and List Slicing.
What is List Concatenation?
The + operator combines two lists to create a new list value.
What is List repetition?
The * operator can be used with a list and an integer value to replicate the list.
The * operator repeats a list a given number of times.
What is List membership?
Python has two membership operators:
1. in and
2. not in.
We can determine whether a value is or isn’t in a list with the in and not in operators.
Like other operators, in and not in are used in expressions and connect two values: a value to look for in a list and the list where it may be found.
These expressions will evaluate to a Boolean value.
What is List Slicing?
Just as an index can get a single value from a list, a slice can get multiple values from a list, in the form of a new list.
Like an index, a slice is typed within square brackets, but it has two integers separated by a colon.
