WuWa vs Genshin: One Year Later, It's Not Close Anymore
A year ago I made "The Unfair Comparison: Genshin vs Wuthering Waves" — and back then the honest answer was that they were different games, both good, and it depended what you wanted. That was true at the time.It isn't anymore.

Over the last year, Wuthering Waves quietly fixed almost everything people mocked it for at launch — and then started doing things Genshin still won't.
This is the full breakdown, category by category, the same fair way I did it last time: combat, exploration, story, lore, the gacha system, quality of life, endgame, and the one area where Genshin still clearly wins. This isn't a "WuWa wins, cope" video. Genshin keeps real advantages — the lore depth, the puzzles, the 4-star roster, and optimization that still runs better on more hardware. But the categories you actually touch every day you play?
The gap closed, and then it kept going. Here's exactly how the clone everyone wrote off spent a year out-iterating the biggest game in the genre. If you're a Genshin player who made it here — I want you to push back in the comments. Tell me which category I got wrong.
