New European Interoperability Framework
The new European Interoperability Framework (EIF) gives specific guidance on how to set up interoperable digital public services.
Adopted in March 2017 by the European Commission, the framework offers public administrations 47 concrete recommendations on how to improve governance of their interoperability activities and establish cross-organisational relationships. Successful implementation of the EIF will improve the quality of European public services and create an environment where public administrations can easily collaborate digitally.

The ISA² programme supports the development of digital solutions that enable public administrations, businesses and citizens in Europe to benefit from interoperable cross-border and cross-sector public services, thus making them more efficient at reducing administrative burdens and saving money and time.
