Now lets talk about the Hidden hand.
The Hidden Hand is a minor faction of the Calradic Empire. Their leader to start is Vasylops of the Hand. Their parties consist of empire troops and also their own troop line that starts with a tier 2 hidden pawn that has a linear upgrade progression to a tier 3 hidden hand and then a tier 4 puppeteer.
The troop line is infantry focused and are considered extra aggressive with no shield, a one handed sword and throwing knives equipped for close corner confrontation.
Their banner is a large hand performing the stop pose or the hello wave pose. This can be interpreted in two ways, first being as a an aggressor who will stop people and demand requests or as a friendly person waving and saying hello to others.
They also resemble the common thug seen around towns because they are described as mafia group who dominate the rural areas, and sometimes the towns, of the southern parts of the Empire. They in
theory should have ties to gang leaders in towns around the world of calradia, but this is not confirmed or denied.
The in game lore states that they thrive by making themselves useful to authorities: repressing unrest, silencing troublesome preachers, and robbing from merchants who compete with their patrons. Many of them go back and forth between a respectable life in the towns and a criminal
life on the countryside, spending two or three months a year as brigands and enforcers and the rest of the year as "traders" specializing in stolen goods, knowing full well that no one will bother them.
The hidden hand do unfortunately suffer greatly by their choice of a weaponry and being an infantry based faction. They travel around the world at a slower rate and have a harder time catching foes on horseback. They also suffer from the lack of shield in open field combat vs enemy ranged attacks.
The Hidden hand in my eyes are just bandits that decided to actually group up and call themselves a minor faction, there is a lot of work to be done before they can really see true success and power.
