On Discord, figuring out whether someone has set their status to "Invisible" can be tricky, since the platform intentionally keeps that setting private to respect user boundaries. In this video, the creator explains what you can and can’t see when it comes to someone's activity status on Discord, and how to interpret certain cues.

First, it's important to know that **Discord does offer an "Invisible" status**. When someone sets their status to Invisible, they appear offline to everyone else—even though they may still be online, browsing servers, or chatting in private. Discord doesn't provide any official way to detect if someone is truly offline or just appearing that way.

If you share a server with the person, check the member list by swiping right on mobile or looking to the right side on desktop. *Active users will have a green dot (Online), yellow (Idle), red (Do Not Disturb), or gray (Offline/Invisible)* next to their name. A gray dot could mean they're offline—or using Invisible mode.

One small clue is whether they interact in the server while appearing offline. If they type in a channel, react to messages, or respond to DMs while showing a gray dot, it's a sign they’re online but using Invisible mode. However, if there's no activity at all, it's impossible to know for sure whether they're offline or just trying to be discreet.

Some mobile users might have noticed a visibility toggle inside the server menu, but this is only for adjusting *your own* status—not for viewing others'. Discord does not reveal who is set to Invisible, and this applies across desktop and mobile.
