I was 22 years old when I came to faith in God. At the time, my husband and I were living in complete prosperity on the southern coast of Crimea. We traveled a lot and one day we left the peninsula for a relative's wedding on the mainland. At the celebration, I heard believing relatives blessing the newlyweds. I asked them to take me to church, where I repented. We returned to the Crimean peninsula, and for four months I prayed: "God, make my husband a pastor!" At the same time, I read the Bible and shared it with my husband and family.
Four months later, my husband consciously repented, and we were baptized. We traveled from Crimea to the mainland for this purpose, as there was no church in Alushta. We also took our relatives, whom I had converted to faith in Christ, with us. They also repented and were baptized.
A few days after my husband's repentance, we traveled to Transnistria, where we immediately became evangelists of Jesus Christ. By God's grace, we converted several souls to Christ, and, following God's calling, we moved from the Crimean Peninsula to post-war Transnistria for their sake. We became pastors and teachers of the Word of God for these people.
We celebrated the first anniversary of the church in Transnistria with a full house of people we had converted from the world to God. Today, the Saltanenko family has served God for over 25 years. By God's grace, we have personally participated in planting churches in the capital of Transnistria, in villages, in Odessa, and in various cities and countries around the world. Our ministry spans the globe, and this is a great gift from God to us!
