Sofievsky Park was founded in 1796 by Stanislav Potocki, a Polish tycoon and owner of the city of Uman during that period. Why Sophia? The park was named in honor of Stanislav's wife - Sofia Witt-Potocka, whom he presented to Sofiyivka in May 1802 for the name-day. And if someone wants to see the sights of Ukraine, then the park in Uman is one of the most interesting and beautiful places where you can relax with family and with a child and get a lot of good impressions.
