The recorder of this clip is witnessing a multiple-vortex tornado causing significant damage to a rural farming community near Waverly, IA.
"On July 14th I departed from Illinois to chase a volatile situation in Iowa. As I made my way West, 2 storms went tornado warned. I was initially targeting the central storm near Stanhope, IA but as I monitored a developing storm to the North, I noticed rotation. I targeted the Northern cell and as I approached, the storm started to show key signs of a prolific tornado producer. I followed it East a few miles as I approached Shell Rock, IA. I turned North to get closer to the circulation and as I approached, it began to produce a multiple vortex tornado that I would get within 100 yards of."
