How to send a VG console sound over a Discord call
Instructions for how to send line in sound + microphone over Discord.
Hardware list:
Headphones
Microphone
Video Game Console. This setup doesn't work for Steam etc (it requires an audio line in).
A capture device like Elgato HD60 S+ for sending the video to your desktop (via USB).
An audio jack cable to your desktop's line in. Note that a Nintendo Switch will need a ground loop isolator (this is a thing I would talk about if I make a hardware video).

How to have 2 audio tracks (as mentioned at 8:00):
Don't have line in go to A1 and instead wear 2 sets of headphones at the same time: the audio jack headphones with the game sound and the BT headphones with the discord buddy's voice (and optional secret music). Obviously this is not comfortable (and no you can't BT to the Nintendo Switch because you need line in).

Random notes:
1:34 unless you have a 32 bit OS for some reason but you shouldn't. If you are running Windows 95 then use the non-x64 version and hope it supports a 30 year old OS. It probably will because it says it supports XP and Windows is good about compatibility.

8:54 also adjusting the volume is tricky since there's OS volume, OBS volume, Banana volume, Discord volume, headphone volume, and video game console volume. So definitely do a test recording to make sure you, your buddy, and the recording can hear all sounds at a reasonable volume.
