TRIP TO THAILAND | PART ONE | PHUKET & KRABI
A summary of our first 7 days, out of a total of 17, spent in Thailand.
Phuket Island is located in the Andaman Sea, off the southwest coast of Thailand. It is the largest island in Thailand and covers an area of approximately 576 square kilometers. Phuket is famous for its beautiful beaches, each offering its own unique atmosphere and attractions. Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, water sports, and beachside dining at these picturesque coastal destinations.
In addition to beach activities, Phuket offers a wide range of attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy. These include snorkeling and diving at coral reefs and marine reserves, exploring hidden lagoons and caves by kayak, trekking through lush rainforests and waterfalls, and experiencing cultural attractions such as temples, markets, and traditional Thai performances.
Phuket is a paradise for food lovers, offering a diverse array of culinary delights influenced by Thai, Chinese, Malay, and Western cuisines. Visitors can sample fresh seafood at beachfront restaurants, savor authentic Thai street food at local markets, and indulge in international fare at upscale dining establishments.
Phuket has a rich cultural heritage shaped by its diverse population of Thai, Chinese, and Muslim communities. Visitors can explore historic sites such as Old Phuket Town, which features well-preserved Sino-Portuguese architecture, colorful shrines, and museums showcasing the island's history and traditions.
Krabi Province is located on the southwestern coast of Thailand, bordering the Andaman Sea. The province encompasses mainland areas as well as numerous islands, including famous ones like Phi Phi Islands, Koh Lanta, and Railay Beach.
Phi Phi Islands, with its dramatic limestone cliffs and vibrant marine life, is one of the most famous island groups.
Visitors can go kayaking through mangrove forests, hiking in national parks, zip-lining through the jungle, and even try their hand at deep-water soloing (rock climbing over water).
