Tier Mobility e-scooters in York
A little snippet of a ride on York's newly installed e-scooters, brought in on a 12-month trial. I tested one out in the quieter area between uni campuses.
There are now around 200 scooters in York, and they can be used to travel between uni campuses or around designated routes in the city, although as yet there isn't an enabled route from any of the campuses to the city centre - if you deviate from the highlighted route in the app the GPS tracker in the scooter will slow it to a measly 5mph. Hopefully there will soon be a link enabled between these locations.
