There are Twitter accounts that use impersonations to steal personal and sensitive information.
Profile I contacted via private message (you must have a Twitter account to send them a private message):

"Hello. I no longer wish to receive promotional emails from GMF, please. First name, last name, and postal address."
GMF informed me that it had taken my request into account on June 20, 2018.
For the moment, I have indeed not received any advertising emails at all.
