DIY VW T6 Camper Conversion 🚐 - Retrofitting a Single Seat // Camper Conversion
The double passenger seat was to be removed and replaced with a single VW T6 seat – and that's exactly what we did. How does it work? Quite simply with an original VW seat without an airbag. Why the swap? We don't need three seats in the front, and besides, the single seat is much more comfortable for both the back and the passenger.
Note: Disconnect the battery to avoid a potential airbag fault in the control unit. This fault can only be cleared at a workshop.

⚒️ Here's how:
1️⃣ Disconnect the starter battery
2️⃣ Disconnect the electrical connectors in the double bench seat
3️⃣ Loosen the 8 screws on the floor of the seat console
4️⃣ Lift the double bench seat out of the vehicle (easier with two people)
5️⃣ Place the single seat console onto the screws in the floor and tighten them
6️⃣ Attach the single seat, including the rails, to the console
7️⃣ Done. Your back will thank you.
