The Life List could have easily been a sappy bummer, but thanks to Sofia Carson, Kyle Allen, and Sebastian de Souza, it’s a surprisingly feel-good ride. They talk about shooting in NYC, rocking Sonic Youth and Wet Leg t-shirts, and even how Sofia went full method on Clair de Lune—complete with piano lessons. Kyle just skated to set like the human Labrador he is, while Sebastian’s accidental villain energy managed to make his character weirdly likable.
Bonus: Sebastian wrote a whole novel and casually dropped that bomb during the interview—turns out he’s more than just a pretty face. Also, Patrick Ewing makes an appearance, which is hilarious because Sofia apparently had to get coached on how to make a basket.
