Code Yellow Alert Issued After Intense Bárðarbunga Earthquake Swarm
The huge Bárðarbunga volcano keeps on rumbling, and this time the aviation code was raised to yellow for security reasons. When this is uploaded at 21:00 GMT, seismic activity has decreased significantly but one of our senior experts was just pointing out that there were several things in this seismic swarm that reminded him of the runup to the 1998 eruption between the Bárðarbunga and Grímsvötn volcanoes.
