Clinical trials are vital to finding new effective treatments for disease. In the case of Covid-19, a ground-breaking new trial called RECOVERY was key to saving millions of lives, finding treatments that worked, like dexamethasone, against the coronavirus at an unprecedented pace, and ruling out others, like hydroxychloroquine.
