I'm finally covering the Yeelight LED strip, as Yeelight has just announced they will be rolling out support for Apple Homekit! I was lucky enough to try this out, so let's see how this works!

The Yeelight LED strip is not new, but it has been improved quite a bit, especially over the first-generation model. This second-generation strip can be extended with the (rather cheap) extension kit. It comes with a 'remote controller' but you have to note that this controller is attached to the LED strip.
You can also remotely control it using the Yeelight APP and the Xiaomi Mi Home APP. This allows for a bit more flexible control over hue and brightness, but also allows you to use it with voice assistants like Google Home and Homekit. Homekit is getting compatibility for most of Yeelights products, which some people might be very excited to hear about.
