Owning workshops is a solid way to make passive income in the game. Here are a few things you should keep an eye on to get the most out of them.

#1: Make sure you buy your workshop in a town with high prosperity, and one that’s not constantly affected by war. A town that gets sieged all the time will lose prosperity, and that directly hurts your workshop’s income.

#2: A key part of making your workshop profitable is checking what the nearby villages produce. You want those bound villages to supply the raw materials your workshop needs. Here is a simple example: if you’re selling jewellery, the villages should be producing silver ore. If it’s an olive press, they need to have olives. Always match your production to what’s locally available and switch workshop types if needed.

#3: Keep an eye on the town’s economy. Look at the demand versus supply. Even if you’ve done everything right, but your income is still low, it might be because there’s already too much supply of that item in town. In that case, it’s time to switch things up.
