I’m Building 10 Tools Every Backend Developer Should Have
I'm building 10 backend tools from scratch, each designed around a real problem backend developers deal with.
Instead of building another random CRUD app, I want to build small, production-minded tools that I would actually use.
The 10 Projects
1. API Tester
2. Log Analyzer
3. JWT Debugger
4. Redis Inspector
5. Database Explorer
6. Webhook Debugger
7. Rate Limiter
8. Backend Monitor
9. Job Queue
10. Backend Doctor
The projects will progressively move from everyday developer utilities to backend infrastructure, production systems, and finally a tool that brings everything together.
The Challenge
Build, Test, Break, Improve, Ship
For every project, I'll build a working version, test it against realistic scenarios, intentionally break it, improve it, and publish the project.
The goal isn't to build 10 random demos.
The goal is to build 10 tools that solve real engineering problems and become a better backend engineer along the way.

The first project is API Tester, where we'll build a developer-focused tool for testing APIs from the terminal.
