Minimalist Origami Chess: The Queen
My first attempt at designing origami models from scratch. A minimalist, abstract chess set that should be fairly easy to make.
Queen made from 4.25" square of white printer paper (cut/torn from 8.5" X 11" sheet).
One 8.5" X 11" sheet can yield 4 pieces (4.25" square) and 4 pawns (4.25" X 2.125") with no wasted paper. Two sheets of the same will make all the needed pieces and pawns of that color.
To use traditional two-tone origami paper some modifications would be required (or a lot of white will end up in your dark pieces), but it's pretty doable.
