An excellent game in its genre!
We must lead a small group of displaced refugees and build a city in the wilds on the edge of the known world.
We must gather resources, hunt, fish, and farm. Providing people with basic necessities, as well as weapons and armor, is vital. We must battle the elements and repel enemy attacks (for those who don't enjoy combat, the game offers a peaceful mode).
Procure 14 different types of raw materials: wood, stone, clay, metal ore, herbs, honey, and much more. Harvest 17 types of food, including wild berries, fish, and game, as well as 10 different crops. Craft 32 types of items and materials within a multi-level economy.
Over 50 different buildings are available. Build a modest settlement and transform it into a bustling city. As your settlement grows in prosperity, it will attract new residents, and the town center and housing will develop through several stages. Upgrade production buildings to increase their efficiency and unlock the ability to create more complex items.
Choose from 10 crops with different characteristics and organize crop rotation to maintain soil fertility, avoid crop losses due to drought or frost, and prevent plant diseases. Cultivate fields, remove weeds and rocks, improve fertility, and regulate soil composition to maximize harvests and feed your population.
Settlers live their lives and perform their work in real time. You can watch them transport raw materials from distant mines to the city for processing and crafting, and deliver food and manufactured items to dwellings and trading posts—or to warehouses for storage. Develop a road network, build wagons, and improve storage methods to optimize the movement of goods and prevent spoilage.
Farthest Frontier is replayable: randomly generated landscapes and resources ensure each game is unique.
Adjustable difficulty settings allow you to create a relaxed game without invasions or epidemics, or set the maximum difficulty to seriously challenge even the most experienced city builder.
You can start the game in peaceful mode, which will eliminate all combat, or choose a suitable difficulty level that will expose your city to raiders. Build wooden palisades and stone walls, erect towers and barracks, and recruit and equip soldiers to defend your city. The richer your settlement becomes, the more often it will fall under the greedy gaze of bandits and foreign armies.
Create your urban settlement on the farthest frontier.
