🔧 WHAT YOU NEED!
1. How to get .feather folder – Press enter+ r and type %appdata% enter, find it there copy it and then save it anywhere.
2. The first command you enter in cmd – cd C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
3. Second command you enter in cmd right after – notepad hosts
4. The last text/command you paste in the notepad you just opened in a new row under all the text(create a new row and just paste it like in the video) – 127.0.0.1 launcher.feathercdn.net
5. Close the notepad and save.
6. Uninstall the Dawn Client, which you can do pressing win+r and entering – appwiz.cpl
7. Download the provided Feather Setup Launcher and run it.
8. Enjoy your Feather Client!

📝 Note – As far as I know you need Feather Launcher Setup 2.7.1-b version for it to work flawlessly, if you dont trust the links and the files in them try finding more reliable ones of 2.7.1-b version or try other versions.(I personally scanned it for malware and can say that mediafire file should be safe and is the one I am using in the video).

📌 WHY THIS MATTERS
Feather Client was acquired and auto-migrated millions of users to a new launcher called Dawn without an opt-out for most people. This video covers the performance difference and gives you a clean way back if you preferred the old client.
⚠️ THE MOST COMMON ISSUES PEOPLE RUN INTO DOING THIS GUIDE AND HOW TO FIX IT
If you do not have the Feather Client file .feather when you check %appdata% continue with the next steps but you might not have your old progress and config.
If Dawn Client keeps updating even though you have followed all the steps correctly, the most common issue on windows 11 is notepad that you pasted the text in not being saved properly, so you have to either full close it even from running in background which should prompt save option or manually save it in the windows 11 notepad options!
