Component Form of Vector || This vector tutorial will teach you what is component form of vector in algebra. Component form of vector generally we write in two form - 2 dimensional & 3 dimensional. Component of a vector means the part of a vector along each axis. There are 3 components of a vector along X axis, Y axis & Z axis, respectively called x component, y component and z component.
The component form of a vector is written as -
Vector P = Xi^ + Y j^ + Zk^.
here, i^ , j^ & k^ represents unit vectors along X,Y & Z axis.
