Ever since I first heard the early recordings of @NickDrakeOfficialback in college, I was enraptured by both his artistry and his story. His songs definitely provided the soundtrack to some very special personal moments of my life. His songs range from light, childlike and lyrical to deep melancholia sonified. This particular song the PS22 Chorus brings to you today, while it must admittedly fall into the latter category, remains one of my very favorites of his, called "Day Is Done." Yet I still can't help but find something hopeful in this delivery by the children. We had great discussion about the song's meaning, and we decided our interpretation is to serve as a PSA of sorts to remind our audience to make sure to live life as fully as possible while blessed with it. The PS22 Chorus of 2023 gives their most mature, honest, and emotional performance to date, and certainly shows just how far the kids have come in one short school year....
