In this video I am talking about 7 wines from unexpeted producing countries but also unusual wine countries.
Did you know, that China is 10th the biggest wine producing country in the world.
I am tatsing Kanaan Winery from Ningxia region, blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon & 10% Merlot. My second wine is from Moravia region in Czech Republic, blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Blanc and produce by biodynamic producer called Krasna Hora. The thirth wines comes from Marocco, Volubilia Rouge is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo and is produce by Domaine la Zouina and imported to Ireland by Le Cauveau from Kilkenny. The next wine comes from Slovenia and is produce by Domaine Ciringa in Stajerska Slovenia a major subregion of eastern Slovenia's Podravje wine region, very well know from amazing Slovenian Sauvignon Blanc. Wine is imported to Ireland by Wine Mason. The fifth wine is produces at Mediterranean island of Cyprus, very well know from sweet wine made of Sun-dried grapes of Xyniesteri and Mavro and is called Commandaria, however some amazing tables wines are also produced at this beautiful island, such as family owned Zambartas vinery ad their Shiraz & Lefkada blend, imported to Ireland by The Corkscrew Wine Merchants. Armenia is on of the oldest producing countries in the world and is divided into 6 regions Ararat, Armavir, Aragatsotn, Tavush, Artsakh and Vayots Dzor and the avarge altitude of the vineyards in Armenia is over 1500 meters above the sea level. I've tatsted Armenian wines called Zorah Karasi, 2019 produced from the most planted red grape varieties in Armenia which is Areni Noir. Finally Thailand is well know from its beer rather than wine, however wine is producing in Thailand since 1960's and is divided into Northern Thailand, Khao Yai, Hua Hin and Pattaya. The mos planted grape varieties in Thailand are Malaga Blanc and Shiraz.
