Go Pro Hero 9 Black 5K Torture Test - Sample footage
No surfing, no babes in bikinis, no skateboards, no extreme snowboarding or tropical beeches here I'm afraid. This is trail running over extremely rough terrain in very windy conditions in the middle of nowhere. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the new Go Pro Hero 9 Black Edition and I was really keen to see what the new 5K footage was like and how stable the new Hypersmooth 3.0 was. So i decided to put it through it's paces in some extremely unforgiving conditions. The test conditions were extremely uneven terrain, super strong winds and flat overcast cloud conditions. Overall I was pretty impressed with how well the Go Pro Hero9 held up in such difficult conditions and how stable the footage came out. The hypersmooth 3.0 with boost on is just as good if not better than a gimbal!
All footage is shot in 5k ( 5120 x 2880) and is straight from camera, some shots have a minor grade applied which is just a quick boost in saturation and a contrast curve applied.
