FROM THE ARCHIVES - 2 Gree OEM Frost Mini-Split Air Conditioners (Indoor)

Note: They have already been replaced with Carrier "Optima" 2.5hp mini-split air conditioners in 2018
These Air Conditioners are located at another 8th Grade Classroom at my school.
Here are 2 Frost Mini-Split Air Conditioners from 2005. They are Gree OEM model ACs which for sure are Made in China. You may have seen that the brand shown on the aircon is "Uni-Air" but that is totally NOT the true brand of this aircon. The Uni-Air logo is just a sticker logo to hide the true brand of this aircon and you might have seen that on the second unit since this one is already yellowed in appearance. They tried to rename this aircon "Uni-Air" but I still found out that the TRUE brand is Frost when I looked at the info tag on the side of the aircon. The first one is 2.0hp and it is still in a good condition and the appearance is still fine since it is still white. The second one is much more powerful than the first one because it is 3.0hp but it already has some common problems such as:
-The Air Swing motor has already broken down and so when the aircon is off, the horizontal wind vane remains opened which causes the inside to get dirty
-It was leaking a lot which means that when the aircon was running, water leaks out from the air outlet
-The fan motor is noisy and became even noisier in 2015
-The lower flap of the horizontal wind vane fell off
-Some of the lights on this aircon no longer work
-It is already yellowed in the appearance causing of its age which is how you might have seen the Uni-Air sticker logo on the left that was sticked to rename the aircon.
These air conditioners are powerful and they are very cold like a freezer, that's because the compressor of these kinds of aircons is quite powerful. The cool feature of these aircons is that on the temperature display on the center, there is a cool little light animation that lights up when the aircon is running. Overall, these aircons still does a good job making the room cold enough even though they are Chinese-made air conditioners but not as good as Daikin or Panasonic. If I am not mistaken, these air conditioners are manufactured by Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai Made in China since they have almost the same appearance as Gree mini-split air conditioners.
There are also ceiling fans that was shown on this video and the reason why I did not film them on action it's because I didn't have time to record them on action since I have to go immediately after making this video.
