Imagine your favourite internet creator launches their own crypto project, hypes it to millions of fans as "a really fun game that makes you money"... and then, when people try to cash out, they discover the "sell" button never existed. That is the true story of CryptoZoo — Logan Paul's play-to-earn NFT game that reportedly hit a $120M+ market cap, left thousands of investors unable to withdraw, and was later taken apart, piece by piece, by investigative YouTuber Coffeezilla.

In this video we break the whole saga down from the beginning. First, what CryptoZoo actually was: a game where players bought "ZOO coins," used them to buy eggs, hatched those eggs into animals, and bred them into rarer hybrids that were supposed to be worth real money — an idea Paul claimed featured hand-drawn art made by a team of artists he'd personally funded. Then the reality: the art was reportedly just merged stock photos, the game barely functioned, and once the hype pushed the market cap into nine figures, investors who tried to take their profit out found there was simply no way to do it.

We also go back to Dink Doink — the meme coin controversy that came months before CryptoZoo — to explain in simple terms how a "pump-and-dump" works and why crypto's unregulated, hard-to-trace nature made situations like this so difficult for ordinary investors to fight. From there we cover how Paul appeared to move on to Prime and the "99 Originals" NFT project while CryptoZoo's Discord went quiet, its moderators disappeared, and holders were left in the dark with coins worth effectively nothing.

The turning point was Coffeezilla (Stephen Findeisen), whose three-part investigation surfaced the people behind the project: an alleged "lead developer" whose impressive résumé reportedly didn't hold up, a self-styled "Crypto King" tied to a stealth token launch that benefitted insiders, and a coder dispute that helps explain why the game never truly shipped. We close on the fallout — the legal threats against Coffeezilla, the public apology, the investor lawsuits, and the buyback program that, on closer look, worked more like a settlement than a genuine refund.

Everything discussed here is drawn from public reporting, court filings and Coffeezilla's investigation, and is presented as allegation and commentary. Logan Paul has denied wrongdoing, and a related class-action lawsuit has since been dismissed in court.
