I ran into this problem today. I was taking Mac screen shots with command (plus) shift (plus) three but screen was not getting captured in my desktop. I finally fixed it. Simply go to system preferences (use spotlight search). Not go to keyboard section.
2. Now get rid of clipboard copy option.
Hey unchecking clipboard thing fixes it. Some sort of Mac bug. Huh. So get rid of two copy options and try taking a screen capture again.
3. WooHoo we got it.
Now screen shots are back in Mac desktop file folder. We did it. Good job. Now say good bye to Lisa.
