Interested in leveraging Node.JS, Express, and CORS to make a web service that can be used by other web services?

Modular microservices are all the rage right now. But before you can launch, you'll need to get to know the web’s "same-origin policy," which dictates when and how different domains can communicate. During this session, we discuss how to relax those rules (using CORS) so we can build a better, more connected Web. We cover a high-level view of how CORS operates and how to implement a CORS-enabled server using Node.JS and Express.

About the Speaker:
Andrew Sillers is a developer who does rapid prototyping in Python and Node.js for the MITRE Corporation. He teaches at an annual cyber security camp for high school students, and recently presented at !!Con ("Bangbang Con") in New York. He has also given professional talks on JavaScript internals, cryptography, and software licensing.
