Turn Any Picture into a Passport Photo (Step-by-Step)
tep-by-step (Photoshop Method)
1. Open your image
Launch Photoshop
Go to File → Open
Select the photo from your PC
2. Select the Crop Tool
Press C on your keyboard
OR
Click the Crop Tool from the toolbar
3. Set passport size
At the top options bar:
Change to Width × Height × Resolution
Enter a standard passport size (common examples):
For Nigeria / many countries:
Width: 35 mm
Height: 45 mm
Resolution: 300 pixels/inch
(You can also use inches: 1.38 in × 1.77 in)
4. Adjust the crop frame
Drag the crop box to fit the face properly
Position the head:
Centered
Eyes roughly at the upper third
Leave small space above the head
5. Apply the crop
Press Enter (or click the checkmark)
6. Adjust background (if needed)
Use Select → Subject
Then Select → Select and Mask
Replace with white/light background if required
7. Save your passport photo
Go to File → Save As
Choose JPEG
