How to Rename the Uncategorized Category in WordPress
The reason why you'd want to rename the Uncategorized category in WordPress is because people might think you are careless, or even unprofessional, if you publish a post under that category, even if it's just a simple mistake.
In order to avoid that, you should rename it right from the beginning of your project.
To do that, you need to go to your Dashboard - Posts - Categories, spot the Uncategorized one, put your mouse over it, and then click Edit or Quick Edit. After that, change the name to whatever you think it's best (e.g Others, Other posts, etc,). Don't forget to change the slug as well!
Click Update Category and you're done!
