Basic Mixing: Equalization 1 - Frequency, Amplitude, and the Importance of Equalizing
No advanced technique will give you professional results when mixing.
The secret lies in mastering the fundamentals; that is, basic mixing techniques that generate 80% of the results. And following a repeatable method that always leads to the result you're looking for.
This is how you achieve a professional sound in a short amount of time.
That's why I created this video series called Basic Mixing, and at the end of each video, I'll tell you how you can be able to mix professionally in just a few weeks and release your first single, using tracks recorded in your home studio with tools you already own.
This video is the first one about equalization, and I'll be explaining the following concepts:
1. What is a frequency?
2. What is amplitude?
3. What is an equalizer?
4. What are the benefits of mastering this tool before any other when mixing?
