This shot of the village is dark as it was taken before noon and the sun is still on the other side of everything over there in the east.
One interesting thing I saw from this side of the village is that one building has BIG blinds to block out the sun...OUTSIDE of each apartment. On the edge of each balcony is a large tube up high which has an apartment-sized blind inside that can be lowered to block out the sun. Extravagant for sure, but also kind of neat! (I hate the heat, so this feature definitely got my attention!) You can see a bit of this building at the 3/4 point of the video at the end of that lane.
Half-way through this shot you can see a new park, which looks good but is probably still in progress. Then a grassy area which looks all dried up...how can anything be that dried up and yellow this early in the year in Vancouver???
This shot ends as it begins, with a view down Walter Hardwick Avenue. Will have to google him...have no idea who he is!!!
