Together, We Count Recognition Event
Together, We Count Day is the inaugural celebration recognizing the joint effort by the city, county, and the community as part of the 2020 Census Complete Count. This event focuses on honoring the groups involved and the effort required that ultimately led to Central Texas’ successful Census count and features opening remarks from City leadership, a presentation of Census findings from Demographer, Dr. Lila Valencia, and culminate in a recognition of the efforts by way of a City of Austin proclamation to be issued on Mar. 3.
