Summary:
Screenshot of the entire screen: Shift-Command-3
Screenshot of a selected area: Shift-Command-4
Screenshot of a window: Shift-Command-4, then press the spacebar and click the desired window
Record a video of the screen with QuickTime Player: Select "File" from the menu and then "New Screen Recording"
