After the victory over Hitler, thousands of Soviet women
left for the Netherlands to join their loved ones, whom they had met in the labor camps of Nazi Germany.
Born under Stalin and condemned to slave labor under Hitler, they tried to start a new life in an unfamiliar country. The road back to the USSR was closed to them - they were traitors to their country.
